The news was first broken by US horse racing trade publication the Paulick Report.
The Flutter-owned operator said the network’s continuation did not align with its long-term strategy, alongside a separate press release confirming it is also winding down its peer-to-peer FanDuel Picks contest product.
FanDuel TV, which traces its roots to the Television Games Network (TVG) launched in 1999, will be wound down over the next 20 months.
It comes amid the company’s new focus on its prediction markets product after facing damage to its share price following the rapid rise of Kalshi and Polymarket.
Around 60% of FanDuel TV’s workforce will be cut at the end of June, after the network honours commitments to Keeneland and Triple Crown coverage.
The remaining staff will continue until the end of November. The FanDuel Racing and TVG advance deposit wagering platforms will continue to operate, and television broadcasts will run through 2027, the Paulick Report said.
FanDuel/TVG handled $2.24bn through the Oregon Racing Commission hub in 2025, holding a 32.8% market share, second to Churchill Downs Inc-owned TwinSpires at 37.7%.
Oregon is a key jurisdiction for advance deposit wagering, which allows customers based in most US states to legally place online pari-mutuel bets on horse racing.
FanDuel Picks customers have until 29 May to withdraw funds
The move is one of two significant product cuts confirmed by the operator. FanDuel also announced it would sunset FanDuel Picks, its peer-to-peer contest product launched last year, reallocating resources to areas it sees as offering greater opportunity.
On the Picks closure, the company said: “After careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to sunset FanDuel Picks and reallocate resources to other areas of our business where we see the greatest opportunity to serve our customers.”
FanDuel said any paid Picks entries already live or upcoming will continue to run and settle as normal, with winnings credited to customer accounts once contests are completed.
The last FanDuel Picks contests will be available on 23 April, and customers will be able to access their accounts and withdraw funds until 29 May.
